Information on your devices

LocalTask saves computer names, private addresses, ports, certificate fingerprints and access keys in encrypted Android profiles. Your computer stores its own agent configuration and credentials. Pairing QR codes contain connection credentials. Anyone you give one to may be able to control the paired computer.

Where information goes

Your phone connects directly to the paired agent over HTTPS with certificate pinning. The agent returns process names, IDs, owners and resource usage, and receives the actions you request. Normal app-to-agent operations send no process data to Solemn Tree Apps. The agent keeps about one hour of system metrics in memory, cleared on restart.

Optional sharing

Scanning uses the camera to read a pairing code. Sharing a pairing profile gives its recipient access credentials. If you enable Tasker integration, Tasker receives an action-specific grant and action results. You can revoke those grants from LocalTask.

Removing your data

Forget individual computers in the app or clear app data to remove saved profiles. Revoke the token on the computer and restart the agent to invalidate previously shared credentials. Removing the phone app leaves the computer’s agent configuration in place.
